Job Description
Under the guidance of the Franchise Partner or Center Manager, the Installation / Production Specialist  performs a wide range of duties related to the physical production and installation of signs including: scheduling, planning, project execution, inventory management, quality assurance and department coordination.

INSTALLATION RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assist Sales team with site assessment, product specification, project quote, and installation planning.

  2. Coordinate Production and Installation of final product.  Process begins at Converted Estimate through Product Pickup. 

  3. Prioritize workflow; communicate to project team daily; coordinate the production process.

  4. Coordinate with Sub-contractor: Help define Scope of Work and Schedule

  5. Assure compliance with municipalities: Regulatory compliance & Worksite Safety

  6. Schedule production board, prepare Installation Packets and manage installation schedule daily.

  7. Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-construction.

  8. Communicate with other employees and customers in a calm and professional manner; handle production related issues.

  9. Manage the inventory purchasing and storage process.  Process purchase orders, match to invoices and shipping manifests. 

  10. Multi-task—work on different projects simultaneously.

  11. Supervise basic and perform more advanced installations. 

  12. Keep the production area neat, clean and organized.

  13. Assess and maintain current technology; work with franchise partner to investigate and potentially introduce new technology and equipment to staff. Train employees on equipment, tools and efficiency-building methods.

  14. Serve as backup in answering the phone and assisting at front counter if the franchise partner, center manager and sales/service employees are not available. 

  15. Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed and effectively manage work queues.

  16. Communicate with other employees regarding timing, extra charges, errors to enable them to keep customer advised of situations.

  17. Maintain and improve morale; help keep the environment upbeat and productive.

  18. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.


SIGN PRODUCTION RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Follow a layout to place computer-cut vinyl or full-color graphic image(s) on a predetermined substrate or medium. 

  2. Prepare substrates for vinyl application. This may include cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, and maintaining the substrates for vinyl application. 

  3. Weed excess vinyl from computer-cut images. Weeding techniques vary with size, type of vinyl, and complexity of the image.

  4. Operate and maintain printer(s).

  5. Perform quality assurance measures pre- and post-production by accurately reading and interpreting a Work Order and then proofing for errors or unacceptable standards.

  6. Perform finishing operations such as laminating, encapsulating, and/or mounting printed pieces. 

  7. Perform installations at customer locations or other off-site locations as necessary.

  8. Communicate with other employees and customers calmly and professionally.

  9. Report inventory levels and stock to be reordered to the center manager/production manager or franchisee.

  10. Help unload and store raw materials; clean and maintain storage areas. 

  11. Work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  12. Perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs when necessary.

  13. Serve as backup for graphic designer as necessary.

  14. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

  15. Participate in and practice the brand mentality of “Everybody Sells.” Constantly be looking for sales opportunities for the center. 

  16. Serve as a backup for answering the phone if the franchisee, manager, and sales/service employees are busy assisting other customers. Assist at the front counter as needed. 

  17. Understand the sales process enough to consult with customers to determine project needs and solutions.

Typical Physical Demands

  • Ability to work safely at height's 

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.

  • Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.

  • Flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back and forth hand motion to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate.

  • Ability to work under pressure to output high volume, high-quality work.

  • Ability to use light power equipment.

 



Compensation: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
