ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering, distributing packages and letters within company.
  • Maintain stockroom through organizing, cleaning, and categorizing on a regular basis.
  • Schedule shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items.
  • Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports to managers.
  • Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.
  • Troubleshoot shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them.
  • Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage by packaging.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Detailed and process oriented.
  • Follow appropriate quality policies and procedures.
  • Practice and participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean activities.
  • Perform work to appropriate efficiency and utilization standards.
  • Participate in work group/team activities.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and environment.
  • Must be a positive and dependable member of the Supply Chain Organization.
  • Must be adaptive and supportive of change.
  • Must provide input to problem solving process and possess good communication skills.
  • The work performed in this job can only be done on site and attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Able to perform basic computer skills (including word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail).

 

Able to drive Company van (must have a valid driver license and auto insurance).

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

 

LANGUAGE, MATHEMATICAL, & REASONING SKILLS

The ability to read, speaks, and understands English to enable clear communication and comprehension of internal company documentation. Basic math skills will be required to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Basic understanding of & ability to read performance graphs.  Able to understand and determine product quality to written documentation.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

While performing the duties of this position, employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Vision requirements include close & distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
