We’re looking for a SHE Advisor to join our Infrastructure Division, based at our construction site in Cumbria.

The main purpose of the role is to support the site and projects team with the day-to-day running of the one of our nuclear sites.

Key Tasks Include:

  • Assist with the review of risk assessments and operational procedures.
  • Complete SHE inspections on a weekly basis.
  • Complete accident and incident investigations when needed.
  • Toolbox talks – Carry out / assist with writing / delivery (when required).
  • Assisting in the delivery of Safety Stand Downs with construction department representatives.
  • Carry out monitoring (Hand Arm Vibration/Noise) to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in Environmental and Sustainability related duties such as recorded data on project visits.
  • Building and maintaining relationships across all levels of the business and with clients and principal contractors.
  • Assist with purchasing for the construction team.
  • Actively assist with SHE initiatives and safety alerts.

We are looking for someone with experience working within a construction environment, carrying out inspections and audits, and experience of accident and incident investigations. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of what Severfield Nuclear does as a business, and of relevant Health and Safety legislation. Candidates will need to have a NEBOSH Diploma.
