Senior Process Associate - ITP (Payments Process - US Shift)

Location: Pune

This role is responsible for delivery of effective and efficient finance transactional processes and controls from a GBS Centre as described in the S&N Finance Accounts Payable (AP) taxonomy and in line with the Group Finance Manual, Minimum Acceptable Practices (MAPs) and Sarbanes Oxley requirements. Delivers the service to meet SLAs and critical metrics and to ensure positive voice of customer feedback.

What will you be doing?

  • Hands-on knowledge of payments process, clearings, vendor open items, vendor reconciliations

  • Experience in dealing with counterparts from across the world.

  • Monitor and resolve aged GRIR/GRNI, Blocked Invoices (MRBR), GIT, and PPV

  • Prepares proposals for payment runs, wire transfers, and manual transactions to ensure accurate and timely supplier payments, remittances, and bank clearing.

  • Improving on-time payment, booking and payment accuracy, PO penetration

  • Minimize duplicate and overpayments, minimize un-utilized credits, reliance on local finance and business teams etc.

  • Knowledge of different payment methods. Drives process standardization and flags exceptions for review and approval and ensures SOP and supporting materials are comprehensive, up-to-date, and accurate.

  • Assists with special projects as requested by management, training and mentoring team members and QA of transaction quality. Supports Corrective and Preventative Measures.

  • Proactively identifies areas of opportunity to streamline processes and improve customer service.

What will you need to be Successful?

  • Education: Graduate / Post Graduate Degree - B.Com / M.Com.

  • Should have proven 4 to 5 years of experience in Payments Processing, AP full cycle AP processing, basic accounting principles.

  • Strong attention to detail focusing on quality and accuracy along with having an analytical mind set. Ability to prioritize while working in a fast-paced environment with commitment to deliverables.

  • SAP, Microsoft AX and Ariba experience preferred.

  • Great teammate with ability to build relationships and influence team members and wider partners with proven problem-solving skills.

  • Continuous improvement experience / Lean methodologies' experience preferred.

  • Should be able to work in month end schedules and Flexible for US Shifts

  • Excellent English communications skills written and verbal.
