As an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Senior Security Engineer at Smith & Nephew, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure identity and access management (IAM) solutions to protect the organization's digital assets. Develop and enforce IAM policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulations. Integrate IAM systems with other security tools, monitor for security breaches, and conduct assessments to identify vulnerabilities. Strong technical expertise in IAM technologies, security best practices, and communication skills are essential for this role. The Senior Security Engineer also keeps up-to-date with the latest IAM trends and industry standards to drive continuous improvement.

What will you be doing?

• Engagement planning, directing, designing and implementing IAM solutions.
• Advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, IT controls and related standards.

• Supporting leadership by collaborating on proposals, budgeting, and crafting detailed work plans.

• Overseeing the seamless execution of projects, from assessments to strategy development and solution implementation, ensuring IAM effectiveness.

• Effectively communicating, both verbally and through written means, with stakeholders across all organizational levels, ensuring objectives are achieved with expertise and confidence.
• On Call for IAM Incidents as needed.

What you will need to be successful?

• Education/knowledge: Bachelors degree in the field of computer science or equivalent (5 yeast of experience within InfoSec/IAM field). Current CIAM, CIMP, CIST, CIPA, CIGE or equivalent certification preferred
• Relevant experience: 5+ years of experience in developing and implementing IAM solutions, including installation, integration, and support of IAM products like SailPoint Identity IQ, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, and Secret Server. Proficiency in Single Sign-On, Identity Federation, Multi-Factor Authentication, identity Governance and Administration, User Provisioning, Access Certification, Identity Analytics, Role-Based Access Control, and Privileged Access Management. Demonstrated expertise in managing projects through the full development lifecycle. Knowledge of vulnerability management, risk assessment, cyber security standards like ISO and NIST, and familiarity with various cloud computing platforms and security frameworks
• Excellent written and verbal communication (English B2+/C1)ability to work independently and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. it is important also to be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in effective manner
