Hello, prospective pickle! Design Pickle is seeking to expand our Finance team by adding a Billing Specialist to streamline the entire user experience for our Design Pickle clients needing go-to support.

Reports to: Senior Administration Manager

 

Works closely on a daily basis with: Customer Success, Sales, Revenue Operations, and People teams.

 

Location: Design Pickle is a fully remote company with a company hub in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Specific to your role, we’re looking for individuals who have…

• 3+ years of experience in a finance or accounting function.
• Deep knowledge of accounting software; QuickBooks Online is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting, optimizing, and providing creative solutions in payment processing platforms such as Stripe
• Proficiency using spend management platforms like Airbase and Tropic is a plus
• A solid, almost nerdy love for billing and accounting principles, speaking “billing” and “accounting” fluently, as if they were your native languages.
• Strong analytical skills are essential, with a knack for turning numbers into actionable insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial, with the ability to explain complex billing information clearly and simply.
• Extreme attention to detail, finding and fixing the smallest errors that others might miss, ensuring precision in every aspect of your work.
• Ability to work autonomously, thrive in a remote environment, take initiative, and be a self-starter.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are a must, with a talent for making meaningful connections with a variety of personalities, even through a screen.
• Master of time management, juggling multiple tasks, reprioritizing on the fly, and always staying cool under pressure.
• A relentless desire to learn, improve, and innovate while rooted in standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Key Objectives and Responsibilities

• Address a broad spectrum of billing requests, including providing quotes, processing new customer orders, processing refunds, completing customer documentation requests, and answering intracompany queries.
• Create, enforce, and adhere to billing SOPs and update and publish new procedures as changes develop.
• Collaborate with customers and team members across departments to research and resolve payment disputes
• Manage collections for overdue customer accounts, including identifying past due accounts, and managing outreach until payment is secured. Must work closely and effectively with customers and departments to resolve billing issues.
• Collaborate across departments to implement billing updates and improve the overall efficiency of our billing processes. 
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

$60,000 to $65,000 a year

The compensation range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000 annually. The actual salary offer to a candidate will be made with mindful consideration of many factors. These factors include but are not limited to skills, qualifications, education/knowledge, experience, and alignment with market data for a given location within the US. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses or commissions. This salary data is for our US-based positions only.
