Summary

SGS & CO is looking for a detail-oriented project manager to ensure smooth client experiences with production art and image carrier projects. This role, based partly on-site at our client's office, involves managing projects and supporting tech solutions. We're on the lookout for proactive problem-solvers who thrive on taking ownership of deadlines, ensuring tasks are completed accurately the first time. As the Project Manager, you will serve as the main liaison for our clients, ensuring their expectations are not just met but exceeded throughout a variety of projects. Your responsibilities include overseeing the entire project life cycle, guaranteeing smooth progress through our production network from project initiation to final delivery. You will actively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders, promptly addressing any issues that arise. Additionally, you will provide top-notch product support for our customer-facing technology solutions, including project management, asset management, and graphic approval applications. Your problem-solving skills will be crucial in overcoming obstacles and maintaining project momentum. Building strong relationships with cross-functional partners, both internally and externally, will be essential in delivering exceptional service. 

Essential Responsibilities, Accountabilities & Results 

  • Lead the day-to-day client engagement to ensure a positive company experience 
  • Manage the order entry process with clients within the customer facing workflow technology solution 
  • Manage the workflow between multiple teams in the production network 
  • Manage project timelines ensuring on-time delivery 
  • Input technical specifications and use set pricing matrices
  • Ensure a swift project-close managing the billing and invoicing process
  • Manage client expectations with price discrepancies and reconcile estimates versus actuals
  • Client weekly status reports
  • Manage reporting and tracking for projects both internally and externally
  • Become a subject matter expert on SGS&CO solution for project management, asset management and electronic approval
  • Support and drive execution of projects relating to the development and improvements of the client’s project management system.
  • Communicate issues to management and the technical support team
  • Utilizing the clients project management system the candidate will; support with project and package entry, provide project updates, provide reports and assist with client requests for assets and information
  • Know your client, their process (deliverables, rework) and preferences to operate as the client’s brand guardian to ensure global consistency and continuity
  • Capture and manage a repository of client nuances including templated standard tickets (specific to the client), brand assets, etc.
  • Ensure all order entries are complete and concise when delivered to production and client
  • Verify technical supplied data is correct to supplied art
  • Document all critical and pertinent information that may impact quality
  • Communicate client preferences to create consistency across the production network
  • Communicate all areas requiring key decisions and at-risk initiatives related to customer expectations
  • Lead the client pre-pro meetings for low complexity projects
  • Understands the client, brands, internal processes, etc. and share knowledge with internal teams
  • Other duties as required

 

Education and Experience Minimum Requirements

This position requires the following knowledge and skills: 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Some College/Associate’s Degree preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience preferred
  • Experience in the design, print or production art industry
  • Full comprehension in reading work instructions and business memos
  • Proofreading skills required
  • Ability to work independently after initial training
  • Previous experience in customer service and/or project management
