Stanley Consultants is hiring a Fitout Project Manager to work on-site with our client in our RAF Lakenheath Program Integration Office.  In this role, you will be responsible for delivery of fitout management on site and accountable for meeting project fitout objectives. Your principal role will be to co-ordinate the efforts of multiple suppliers delivering fitout works on site, ensuring that they work safely and in accordance with the fitout phase health and safety plan for each project. 

Joining our existing project management team, you will bring a wide range of site management and coordination skills, knowledge and experience of working closely with clients, U.S. and UK stakeholders and all disciplines to manage projects on site and deliver to challenging timelines. 

From day one, you will be involved in preparing for the fitout phase on several of the program’s critical assets, working with others in the Program Integration Office to engage with suppliers to 48FW to develop and communicate management plans and schedules for the work they will be delivering on site. There will be strong focus on managing and coordinating health and safety on site during the fitout phases of projects that you are managing. However, other duties will include quality control, programming, reporting, client and stakeholder liaison. 

We are looking for a manager with on-site experience of major construction projects, with well-developed professional skills and a track record of working in a defence sector environment. The ability to identify site management and coordination requirements, develop a schedule for on-site delivery, manage project governance and work collaboratively with a team of people from across multiple organizations will be crucial for success. You will be busy, challenged and will feel rewarded.

  • Good practical application of Microsoft Software applications
  • Full UK/US driving licence

Desirable: 

  • Experience working with U.S. Visiting Forces
  • Experience in the delivery of complex facility projects on secure sites
  • Project Management/Engineering/Construction/Safety related degree
  • Ideally applicants will hold, or be committed to achieving, project management and/or other professional qualifications and will be members of a recognised professional institution.
    • The ideal candidate will require over and above the standard PM attributes, to be:
      • A CSCS card holder 
      • SMSTS certified
      • A qualified First Aider certified to First Aid at Work  (FAW)
