G

Experienced Analog IC Engineer, R&D

GN Hearing
Full-time
On-site
Ballerup, Denmark

At GN, we are working on our next-generation chipset for use in our hearing instruments and other GN products. We are looking for several experienced Analog IC Engineers to join our team and assist with the design and verification of our next-generation chipset.

The role also involves system design and block-level design for future chipsets with a focus on recent audio trends, radio integration, power management, and novel charging concepts.

The team you will be part of

We have multiple IC projects running within our IC Team both in mature and advanced nodes, offering opportunities for skill development in various areas of analog and mixed-signal IC design.

You will become part of a diverse and skilled team comprising analog, digital, physical, and test IC engineers, working at the core of GN.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will

  • Take ownership of IC blocks and subsystems, from system design to block specification, design, layout, and verification in the lab.
  • Offer guidance and share expertise to support team members in overcoming obstacles, building confidence, and reaching their objectives.
  • Study and understand our current chipset and HW platform.
  • Collaborate with neighboring teams involved in system design, electronics integration, electroacoustics and radio systems to drive development from conceptualization to commercialization.
  • Design ultra-low power analog circuit blocks, including schematic and layout, in both advanced and mature process nodes.
  • Source and verify 3rd party analog IP, PLLs, and radio systems, for example.
  • Take ownership of products in market to provide necessary updates and ensure continued improvement.
  • Implement and validate high-level system models.
  • Conduct mixed-signal verification for our ICs.
  • Drive and provide input to wafer test development and debugging.

To succeed in the role, we imagine that you

  • have a B.Sc., M.Sc., or Ph.D. in integrated analog electronics with several years of experience working in CMOS or equivalent.
  • are proficient with Cadence front-end EDA tools, and a mix of backend and simulation tools from Cadence, Siemens, and Synopsys.
  • are a structured and analytical team player with an individual drive.
  • have experience with integrated analog and mixed-signal circuit design in CMOS, such as SC power converters, wireless charging circuits, SDM A/D converters class D amplifiers, and HF/RF radio systems like Bluetooth.
  • have experience with the development of mixed-signal simulation flows for both analog-on-top and digital-on-top IC designs.
  • are used to R&D work in a structured environment, including revision control and traceability for design data and documentation.
  • have experience with, or a desire to learn, scripting in TCL and Python.

We encourage you to apply

Even if you don’t match all the above-mentioned skills, we will gladly receive your application if you think you have transferrable skills.
