POSITION: Technology Systems Group Audio Visual Project Manager

This position is in office, Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm except where travel to the project site is required,
JOB PURPOSE:
Provide exceptional communication, AV technical skills and related technologies, organization, and leadership skills for the project direction of a team of technicians that build highly customized museum experiences. The Project Manager brings the technical understanding of products and best practices for the integration of complex Audio/Video/Computer Systems for permanent installations in both new and existing construction projects.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate and coordinate with all project stakeholders, including internal, external, supporting services, manufacturers, and C-Suite management.
- Develop best in class client relationships.
- Responsible for managing budgets, timelines, resources, risks.
- Deliver projects to exceed client expectations while meeting or improving budgets, schedules, and project targets.
- Manage technician’s workflow and productivity on site and in shop.
- Develop and maintain quality control standards for all client deliverables.
- Mentor, train, and guide to upskill colleagues.
- Ability to influence others to take action.
- Develop effective working relationships as needed for high performance results.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of Project Management experience in the AV discipline managing projects in excess of $500,000 in materials.
- Working knowledge of basic IT principles and protocols, electronic theory, PC hardware and operating systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Project, Outlook, and related software applications typical in the AV industry. Proficient with Bluebeam or Adobe Pro for reviewing documents.
- Ability to maintain records and drawings for As-Built Documentation
- Familiarity with industry manufacturers, dealer relationships and pricing.
- Ability to estimate and value engineer systems as needed in tandem with the system engineer.
- An understanding of software production is a plus.
PREFERRED
- CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification
- OSHA certifications
- QSC QSys level I/ II certifications
- Experience with QSC, Extron, Cisco, Juniper, and Zeevee
- The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience managing projects in excess of $500,000 in materials.
